The Casa Andina hotel group was founded in February 2003, even though it did not yet possess actual hotel infrastructure. Shortly thereafter, in April 2003, the group inaugurated its first hotel: Casa Andina Classic – Miraflores San Antonio. Soon afterwards hotels in Cusco were established and in other destinations in southern Perú under the brand Classic, and in 2004 the brand Private Collection was launched, with the trailblazing Valle Sagrado hotel. Since its beginnings, Casa Andina has grown at an explosive rate, opening an average of 3.5 hotels, or 200 hotel rooms, annually. Currently Casa Andina comprises 17 hoteles: in Miraflores (Lima), Nasca, Arequipa, Colca, Puno, Isla Suasi, Cusco and the Sacred Valley. The group has short-term plans to consolidate its holdings in southern Peru, while in the medium term entering the untapped tourism circuit in northern Peru and in the long term, investing in neighboring Andean countries.
